Fauda is based on true events and is made on accounts of experiences of two ex-Israel Defence Force Personnel Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff. The story revolves around the emotions, pain and conflict of people from both Israel and Palestine. The lead character Doron is a commander of a military unit in Israel army and they are in pursuit of a terrorist known by the alias "The Panther" who is associated with Hamas. The famous Gaza strip is also featured in the third season. The web series is available on Netflix.
3) What We Do in the Shadows
This comedy cum horror series is based on a 2014 feature film of the same name. The film was written by Clement and the famous Taika Waititi who directed Thor: Ragnorak. The lead characters are three vampires Nandor, Colin Robinson and Nadja who have been roaming for over 100 years and are living in an apartment of New York City. The web series is available on Disney+ Hotstar. I am sure you won't be travelling alone post watching this and you will overhear vampires talking in your hotel room. Just Kidding!!
4) Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side
Asur is a mythological crime thriller starring Arshad Warsi in the lead role. The series draws inspiration from mythology and is also set in the historical and mystical city of Varanasi. The show tries to unravel a murder mystery which involves a series of killings. You will have to hang on to find whether its a human doing or is there a tinge of supernatural. The show has only 8 episodes so you can watch out in one go this mixture of mystery, thriller, crime and mythology.
5) Panchayat
Panchayat is a comedy-drama web series streaming on Amazon Prime. The story revolves around an engineering graduate who moves to a small village of Fulera in Ballia district when he is posted there as part of his new government job as the secretary of gram Panchayat. The story revolves around his struggles, his dislike for the job and how he settles in the village for the time being. The lead characters are played by Jitendra Kumar along with veteran actor like Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta. If you are a student you will definitely connect with the character.
6) Money Heist
Money Heist is one of the most-watched web series right now on Netflix. The crime drama is based on two perfect robberies in Spanish history led by the Professor (Álvaro Morte). The show is to be released in 4 parts. Part one and two are concerned with the heist they conduct on the Royal Mint of Spain and three and four covers the heist on the Bank of Spain. There is also a documentary by the name of Money Heist: The Phenomenon which shows the making of the series by the cast and producers themselves. 8) Four More Shots Please
For all the ladies looking out for some girl centred drama, Amazon Prime's Four More Shots Please is a treat. The second season of the show has already released. Every young and modern woman working in urban cities can easily connect with the story. It brilliantly showcases her struggles with her career on one side and family on another. The lead happens to be four friends who are chasing their dreams and trying to make a mark while also falling in love and discovering themselves. If you loved Breaking Bad and has been rooting for more seasons of it you need to watch Ozark meanwhile.
