We all have noticed how a bad mood can lead to failure in everything. On some days when we are irked and miffed over something, the effect can be easily seen in all the things that we do. Be it a small tiff with your colleague, or a minor altercation with your better half, getting stranded due to a flat tire or anything bad that happens to us. Sometimes, some jealous people can even dissuade you with their comments and make you feel bad but you can easily turn that around by not listening to them and rather focusing on what other impartial people have to say about you. But the thing is that it is as easy to uplift yourself from the unnecessary depression as it is to get in that bad mood. The key is to allow positivity to channel inside you and feed on that positivity and let the bad feelings subside. Look at the larger picture and save your day from getting spoilt by following these 7 weird but effective ways to deal with a bad day.

1. Distract yourself

Think about your best memories. Your best day when you were the happiest. It can be your birthday or the day you went on a vacation. You have to get out of the bad mood by disregarding it and rather trying to indulge yourself with only the happy memories. You have to start thinking about how you can overcome the issue rather than venting your anger and focusing on what has already happened. Sometimes we are in a bad mood and we have no one to share our feelings with. This is even more dangerous as the person can break within his shell. At such times, it is important to have someone by your side. If you don't have a friend or family nearby, just ring them and talk to them openly. Such talks can be very effective and when a person overviews our problems he can likely get to the roots of it and even suggest you ways to deal with it. Sometimes, we don't share much and that causes a build-up of negativity in ourselves. In such a condition we are more prone to any mood swings. If you are an introvert, you have to open up. If you are still dealing with it, one other way may be to write about your feelings in a diary or a journal. writing is another effective way to release things off your chest. Even if no one is reading what you wrote, just the fact that you wrote about it makes you feel a lot better. Write about the reasons why it happened and how you could overcome it rather than just repenting or being sad.
