The Bhangarh fort was built by Raja Bhagwant Singh in 1573 AD. The story of how the magnificent castle turned into a horror house is very sensational. The grandson of Bhagwant Singh, Raja Chatar Singh had a daughter named Ratnavati. A Tantrik fell in love with the Princes and sent a bottle of perfume that was enchanted with magic that would make the princess fall in love with the Tantrik. The princess got to know this evil plan and ordered the Tantrik to be killed. The Tantrik cursed the entire clan of the Raja that none of his descendants would survive and no one can build a roof in the village. The castle fell after an attack following this event and since then no one lived there. Even today, if a roof is built, it falls. In present times, the locals believe the fort to be cursed and several wailing sounds can be heard at night as per them. This mysteriousness draws a lot of visitors but keeping in view the local's belief and some untoward incidents in the past, even the ASI has put up a board that forbids people from visiting the fort after evening.

2. Malcha Mahal In Delhi

The Malcha Mahal belonged to the Royal family of Awadh and Princess Wilayat Mahal used to live here post-independence of India. The fort is a Tughlaq era structure and served as a hunting lodge for the royal family in the forest. The princess committed suicide in this palace by using diamond. Ever since that, it is rumoured that the palace is haunted. It is even said that the people who have attempted to enter the palace without any approval don't come back. Though the place is frequented by ghostbusters and casual drinkers, this doesn't stop the rumour mill. 3. Vas Villa In Bangalore

EJ Vaz, a famous lawyer from Bombay high court gifted this villa in Bangalore to his daughters, Doice Vas and Vera Vas in 1943. The daughters remained unmarried and were the only inhabitants of the 10000 square foot area. On an unfortunate day, Doice was stabbed to death In front of Vera and was buried into the yard. Vera eventually moved out of it aged 80 and no one knows for sure where she settled. In the absence of caretakers, this huge villa got its haunted appeal and stories started doing rounds about the haunted house. Even some paranormal investigators have claimed that the house is haunted. Numerous reports of an inverted cross and headless statues staring from windows have been reported. The locals here believe that the ruins of Firoz Shah Kotla are home to Djinns, a spirit that grants wishes to those who pray to it. Some people even perform exorcism here and try to get rid of people possessed by evil spirits. Yes, as much strange it sounds, one of the biggest hotels in India, The Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai is said to be haunted by the architect WA Chambers. An Englishman, the architect prepared the blueprints of the hotel and went back to England. When he returned, he saw that the hotel was built in the opposite direction to what he had planned. Seeing this, he jumped off the 5th floor of the hotel. Many staff members, as well as guests, have reported some abnormal activity in the old wing of the hotel. Little did they knew about the house which was haunted by an army officers ghost who lived there before them. When he heard of the rumors, he decided to test it and locked himself in the room that was said to be the source. Later, one night, a huge thud sound came and all the things in that room shattered. After many other signs, the Bayley family vacated the mansion. Several other occupants came after them and they all have mysterious stories to tell. However, no loss of life or any untoward incident has been reported here which makes it the friendliest supernatural beings’ home. The mansion has been remodeled as of now but there is still talk of the ghost and attracts visitors who want to see the abode of the ghost.

This is the most haunted road on our list where people claim to see a ghost of a small girl in blood-stained white frocks roaming about after midnight. As per the residents here, a small girl died in a construction accident after which her ghost started appearing in the region. Several people have claimed to see the girl and since then, the area is not visited by many during night-time.
