1. Kiradu
The belief surrounding the Kiradu temple situated in Rajasthan is that if you stay there alone after dusk you turn into stone.
Dating back to when Mahmud Ghazni invaded Kirady he destroyed many sculptures on the temple and caused destruction. From remains found in the area it is believed that Kiradu used to be a big city.
The shrap came into existence about 900 years ago there used to be a Kingdom in Kiradu, A saint called Dhundhalinath told his students before starting 12 years of meditation to go to the Kingdom to accept alms from people and specified that it must be given using all five fingers. But King instructed alms to be given using their three fingers. He was in fury after hearing about this due to which as the sunset he layed a curse which turned the people in the temple into stone. To this day the presence of energy is felt and the strangeness in the atmosphere cannot be denied.
2. Lambi Dehar Mines
The ghost mines in Mussoorie, the paranormal activities in this place will give you goosebumps as they have to the locals who have eyewitnessed them. According to legends told by locals the mysterious story behind this place starts when more than 50,000 workers who were working in the British era limestone miles died coughing blood due to extreme conditions and lack of precautions over a period of 40 years.
Locals have reported hearing a terrifying shriek and nights of crying assumed to be the cries of workers. Many incidents have taken place in the mines which will make you think twice before even going closer.
3. Bhangarh
How can a haunted places list not include Bhangarh one of the most scariest place. Due to the paranormal activities in Bhangarh fort, Rajasthan place entry inside has been prohibited to protect the people. It is said that nobody comes out of the fort once they enter. There have been instances where people have been slapped, felt presence of being followed, heard voices of women screaming and crying, bangles breaking.
There have been reports of a distinct scent originating from the Bhangarh Fort, as well as ghostly shadows and strange lights. According to legends Emperor Madho Singh took the approval of Ascetic Guru Balu Nath used to meditate there to build a city. However Guru laid a condition that the shadow of construction should not overlay his retreat. Failing to meet the requirement the Guru cursed the place into ruins after which no construction has lasted, ironically his retreat is intact.
4. Terra Vera
One of the creepiest sites in Bangalore which used to be a beautiful mansion built by Ej Vaj in 1943 who had two daughters Dolce and Vera. In 2002 the piano teacher Dolce was stabbed by an unidentified attacker. The incident made Vera leave the premises immediately leaving behind all the belongings.
Soon later people started observing ghostly appearances in the deserted house. They witnessed the sound of the piano being played and odd things happening. Those who went inside to capture the inside of the mansion came out with a fault in their cameras they also say inverted cross and headless statue of Jesus.
5. Dumas beach
Dumas Beach in Surat, on the Arabian Sea, is regarded one of Gujarat's most haunted locations. It is famous for its back but the belief is that the black sand on this beach is a result of ashes of dead and white sand.
People have mysteriously gone missing and completely after crossing a certain point, whispers and noises of crying are also heard while walking in the premises.
